The invention relates to a fitting for a window, a door or the like, comprising a corner component that can be assigned to a frame of a leaf, sash or casement and two closing pieces that can be assigned to an outer frame, wherein the corner component has a housing with a sliding piece that can be displaced linearly thereupon in the direction of displacement.  It is provided that the sliding piece (8) has a drive-rod linking connection (17) or a gear-mechanism linking connection and a closure pin (20), which extends transversely in relation to the direction of displacement (10) and to which one of the closing pieces (3, 4) is assigned, and that the sliding piece (8) has a tilting pin (32), which extends in the direction of displacement (10) and forms a release element and to which the other of the closing pieces (4, 3) is assigned.
