The invention relates to organic synthesis and material science of liquid crystals (LC), in particular to the development of novel chiral admixtures (CA) for liquid crystal chiral-nematic mixtures such as 2E-(4'-amyl-1,1'-biphenyl)methylidenalobetulin of formula:.Further disclosed is a chiral-nematic LC mixture comprising nematic matrix and optically active CA 2E-(4'-amyl-1,1'-biphenyl)-methylidenalobetulin.
