METHOD FOR DIAGNOSTICS OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS IN PATIENTS HAVING SURVIVED CARDIAC INFARCTION AT CONCOMITANT TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS

A method for diagnostics of atherosclerosis in patients having survived cardiac infarction at concomitant type 2 diabetes mellitus includes investigation of proatherogenic modification of lipoproteins of low and very low density. Cholesterol is investigated in mouse macrophages and triglycerides in mouse macrophages, and in the case if the level of cholesterol in the mouse macrophages is higher than 286 µg/mg of protein, and the level of triglycerides in mouse macrophages is higher than 360 µg/mg of protein, presence of atherosclerosis is diagnosed.
