METHOD FOR PREVENTION OF SUDDEN OUTBURSTS OF SAND ROCK AND GAS

A method for prevention of sudden outbursts of rock material and gas at penetration of preparatory workings with combine or drill-blast operations near the outburst-dangerous sandstones through formation of unloading slot at distance not less that 0.5 m from earth or roofing of sandstone with not decreased advance in direction of motion of the face of the working. Unloading slot is formed with advancing face of the coal seam or the layer of not outburst-dangerous rock at depth equal to propagation of the face in cycle of penetration, plus not decreased advance of the slot, this is determined by given formula, after that extraction of rocks is performed over and under the slot, first in the middle section of the face, and then at the sides and the ceiling of the working within its designed contour.
