METHOD FOR DETECTING EARLY LIVER IMPAIRMENT IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE ILEUS

A method for detecting early liver impairment in the patients with acute ileus provides for assessing the impaired functional state of hepatocytes. The decreased activity of ceruloplasmin that is the potent natural antioxidant synthesized exclusively in hepatocytes is detected and used as the objective marker confirming multiorgan dysfunction and requiring the correction of the intensive therapy in the complex surgical treatment.
