A method for determining the pattern of the heart cycle in junior schoolchildren (6-12 years) comprises tetrapolar impedance rheoplethysmography. The following components of heart cycle are recorded and calculated: the duration of heart cycle, the duration of the mechanical and total systole and total diastole. The components of systole are measured period of tension and the its components; the phases of rapid and slow ejection are determined. The empirical indices and coefficients are calculated and compared with the average values for assessing the alterations in the pattern of the heart cycle in junior schoolchildren.
