Procedure for determining an access authorization to a limited access area from a user identification, which comprises the following steps: A) authenticate the personal identity of a registered user when you want to access a limited access area by detecting biometric data of said registered user and comparing said detected data with at least one biometric template previously stored by means of a personal identity authentication device (D1: D1A); B) transfer and store the personal identity thus authenticated of said user registered in a wireless communication device (D2) as a valid request for authorization of access to a limited access area; and C) communicating said valid access authorization request from said wireless communication device (D2) to an electronic access controller (D3) adapted to authorize access to said limited access zone; D) receiving said electronic access controller (D3) said access request authorization and processing it from identity information it contains.
