A well bore in a subterranean formation includes a signaling subsystem (114)communicably coupled to injectiontools (212) installed in the well bore. Each injection tool controls a flow offluid into an interval (118a, 118b, 118c, 118d)of theformation based on a state of the injection tool. Control signals are sent from the well bore surfacethrough the signaling subsystem (114) to the injectiontools (212) to modify the states of one or more of the injection tools. In some implementations, the state ofeach injection tool can be selectively and repeatedly manipulated based onsignals transmitted from the well bore surface, hi someimplementations, stresses are modified and/or the fracture network is createdalong a substantial portion and/or the entire length ofa horizontal well bore.
