Provided are a method and a system for scheduling the charging task of an electric vehicle by using a genetic algorithm and initial population selection heuristics. The charging task scheduling method for an electric vehicle includes the following steps of: modeling at least one charging task about each of at least one electric vehicle; selecting multiple initial populations about a charging schedule of at least one charging task; and extracting an optimal population as the charging schedule by selecting and crossing the multiple initial populations by using the genetic algorithm.
