The present invention relates to headphones, and more particularly, to headphones for listening to external sound which enables a listener to listen to voices of neighboring people and even living noise at the same time as listening to sound while wearing the headphones. The headphones for listening to external sound according to the present invention, is connected to a portable appliance and converts a digital signal transmitted from the portable appliance into a sound signal which is audible to a listener, and comprises a main body having a shape capable of surrounding the auricle of a wearer and in which a speaker for outputting the sound of content reproduced from the portable appliance is embedded; and a cover plate coupled to a front end of the main body to enable the content of the portable appliance to be reproduced, wherein the cover plate has at least one reflective plate to allow a listener to simultaneously or selectively listen to the sound output from the portable appliance and external neighboring sound and allows a central portion to be opened or closed by using the at least one reflective plate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
