MOBILE NODE PERFORMING CONTENTION-BASED DATA COMMUNICATIONS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DATA TRANSMISSION THEREOF

A mobile node performing a contention-based data communication and a method for controlling data transmission of the mobile node are disclosed. The mobile node, which performs data communication based on contention, comprises: a communication unit which exchanges a radio signal and a response signal with another mobile node, wherein the radio signal and the response signal include at least one of a request to send (RTS) message, a clear to send (CTS) message, a data packet signal, and an acknowledgement (ACK) message that confirms that the data packet signal has been received; and a determination unit which determines whether or not to transmit the RTS message to another node using a threshold value (a first threshold value) of an RSSI value of a channel measured by carrier sensing after performing the carrier sensing, and determines whether or not to transmit the response message to the received radio signal using a second RSSI threshold value that is different from the first RSSI threshold value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
