In a method of constructing a path based on a distributed event in a wireless sensor network comprising multiple sensor nodes, a first event node corresponding to a start point of the path and a second event node corresponding to an arrival point of the path are selected from the multiple sensor nodes. A Voronoi diagram on the sensor nodes is generated based on the first event node and the second event node. A first sensor node, which has the smallest sum of a first hop distance to the first event node and a second hop distance to the second event node, is selected based on the Voronoi diagram from the multiple sensor nodes. A path between the first event node and the second event node is set such that the first sensor node is included in the path.
