The present invention relates to a functional food composition for relieving stress containing an extract of Melissa officinalis. The composition of the present invention effectively inhibits density of corticosterone, beta-endorphin, and MHPG-SO4, which are hormones induced by physical and mental stress, from increasing. Therefore, the composition can be effectively used for functional food compositions for alleviating diseases associated with stress.
