The present invention relates to a method for detecting a fishy smell of water from an air conditioner, which identifies a category of a compound comprising components of the fishy smell of water, to a method artificially creating the fish smell of water by reproducing the compounds, and to a fish smell-of-water composition. An analytical method of the present invention is capable of identifying specific components of the compound forming the fish smell of water from the air conditioner and the concentration of the compound; reproducing the compound; and providing meaningful data to develop a removal device or a removal method of a specific smell. The reproducing method is utilized to reproduce various smells other than the fishy smell of water.
