PURPOSE: A separator for a solid electrolyte fuel cell is provided to prevent the loss of a battery and lifetime reduction and to improve the cold starting performance. CONSTITUTION: A separator for a solid electrolyte fuel cell has a channel (42) formed on one side of the separator and a hydrophobic/hydrophilic pattern (100) for moving moisture through the channel, formed on the surface of the channel. The hydrophobic/hydrophilic pattern consists of a hydrophobic surface layer (102) formed on the surface of the channel and a plurality of hydrophilic surface layers (104) formed on the surface of the hydrophobic surface layer. The plurality of hydrophilic surface layers is disposed on the hydrophilic surface layer at a specific interval. The hydrophobic surface layer is also formed on the one side on which the channel is formed.
