The present invention relates to a byhan art portrait technique for simultaneously expressing a 2-dimensional effect and a 3-dimensional effect on a picture, which includes: (1) a step of sketching, as objects, the shapes of exposed parts of a human body such as a face contour, the ears, the eyes, the mouth, the nose, the arms, and the hands thereof, and the shapes of clothes, accessories, and miscellaneous items on drawing paper; (2) a step of classifying the sketched objects into the face of the human body, exposed parts of the human body, clothes, accessories, and miscellaneous items to draw the face and the exposed parts with a dry material selected from a pencil, a conte, and charcoal, or paint the face and the exposed parts with a wet material selected from water colors, acrylic colors, oil colors, and gouache colors; (3) a step of individually attaching fabrics, having a thickness ranging from 0.1 mm to 3 mm and different in texture, color, pattern, and thickness to the clothes, the accessories, and the miscellaneous items to express the silhouettes and textures thereof; (4) a step of drawing curves and shade of the clothes, the accessories, and the miscellaneous items with a pen on the fabrics attached thereto, thereby expressing motions and 3-dimensional effects of the clothes, the accessories, and the miscellaneous items; and (5) a step of putting a portrait formed as described above, in a dedicated frame to complete the portrait. The byhan art portrait technique contrasts a pictorial and 2-dimensional expression of the face and exposed parts of a human body with a realistic and 3-dimensional expression of clothes, accessories, and miscellaneous items on a picture, simultaneously achieving a realistic texture expression and a 3-dimensional expression, which would not be achieved by 2-dimensional pictures, and a pictorial expression which would not be achieved by computer graphic portraits.
