FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: closed manual reposition is followed by a check-up X-ray imaging of the wrist joint in two standard projections. An angle α is measured on the X-ray image in the anterior-posterior projection with using a direction finder between a line drawn at the level of the epiphyseal cartilage perpendicular to a long axis of the metadiaphyseal radial bone, and the fracture line, if the above angle is 25° and more, the fracture is considered to be unstable. In a special case, the X-ray image shows the presence or absence of the palmar cortical plate matching of the proximal and distal fragments in the side projection; if observing no matching, the fracture is also considered to be unstable.;EFFECT: method enables determining clear indications for surgical management, increasing objectiveness and reliability of determining the instability substantially and selecting the most optimum therapeutic approach by complete assessment of the fracture nature.;2 cl, 2 dwg, 3 ex
