FIELD: process engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of pipelines against corrosion and can be used in construction and repair of pipes in various fields. Sleeve from shrinkable tape is fitted on steel pipe and heated to thermal shrinkage. To make said sleeve, said tape with inner adhesion layer is heated and wound at cold mandrel with tape stretching in direction of winding. Then, overpressure is developed between mandrel and sleeve resulted after cooling to produce the clearance there between. Sleeve if withdrawn from the mandrel and cut to required lengths. To make the pipe joint, said sleeve is fitted on one of pipes.;EFFECT: simple and reliable process, high quality antirust protection.;4 dwg
