The method involves providing multiple optical components for generating partial light beams that generate different partial light distributions (10,11,12,13) of an overall light distribution. The optical components are provided for calibrating only the partial light distributors. The actual-light distribution is adjusted at a desired-light distribution by the partial light distributions. A light emission is generated for calibrating the overall light distribution. The light emission is prevented by a portion of the optical component. An independent claim is included for a device for calibrating light-dark boundary of an overall light distribution of a light function of a headlamp arrangement for a vehicle.
