The roof (10) has a rear window carrier (12) swingable around a pivot point (D), where a rear window (13) is integrated into the rear window carrier. Multiple fins (14) are arranged on two sides of a central longitudinal plane and movable relative to the rear window carrier. A spring element (18) is connected with the rear window carrier at the pivot point, and pressurizes the rear window carrier with a rotation force (F). A clamping element (20) is connected with the rear window carrier, and counteracts the rotation force acting at the rear window carrier in a closing position of the roof. The spring element is formed by a leg spring or a torsion spring. The clamping element is formed by a flexible connector i.e. tensioning cable.
