The apparatus has a contraction fodder retainer (11) connected with a desk (10). A heating unit (16) i.e. inductive coil heating unit, is vertically arranged in a stand (14) and vertically moved to a shrink fit chuck part. A temperature measuring unit (20) is utilized for detecting surface temperature of the shrink fit chuck part. The temperature measuring unit is formed by an infrared thermometer. The temperature measuring unit measures a dot of a contraction fodder (12) by an orientation unit. A display unit displays the detected temperature in control lamps (22).
