Gas metal arc-narrow gap welding, comprises simultaneously using two arc plasma leading and melting welding wires and supplying a third non plasma arc leading welding wire such that the process energy of both plasma arc leading welding wires melts the third welding wire. An independent claim is also included for a narrow gap welding system (5), comprising a narrow gap sword (10) with a first welding wire exit guide (20) and a second welding wire exit guide (25), to perform a plasma arc leading, melting of first and second welding wire and at least a third welding wire exit guide (30). The narrow gap sword is formed for guiding a non plasma arc leading welding wire from the third welding wire exit guide.
