The unit (1) has a receiving space accommodating components of a resource tank and an electrical drive i.e. rechargeable energy storage device (4). The resource tank comprises a fuel tank, a urea water solution tank and/or a hydraulic tank. The components comprise a part of a cooling device (5) for cooling the components received in the receiving space. The components include a storage reservoir for a liquid and/or gaseous medium. A cage-shaped supporting frame (2) is provided with multiple rod elements. The resource tank is dissolved into multiple interconnected and rugged portions. The components are designed as power electronics, on-board-charger, inverter, high volt dispatcher and loading transducer. The hydraulic tank is designed as an oil tank.
