The system has sensors for generating a vehicle condition signal and signal conditions. A calculation unit is designed to record a route based on the vehicle condition signal and signal conditions. The recorded drive is adjusted with respect to a stored route on recognition of a specific position (2) of a vehicle (1). A stored trajectory (4) is presented to a driver when the specific position is recognized. The calculation unit drives the vehicle for independent or semi-independent driving-on of the trajectory. The sensors are designed as path sensors, velocity sensors, acceleration sensors, slant sensors, greed rate sensors, rotation speed sensors or steering angle sensors. An independent claim is also included for a method for recognizing a stored position of a vehicle.
