The method involves introducing a window (11) into an aperture (12) formed in a tube (10). The window is permanently fixed in the aperture of the tube by using a hermetic sealing material (13) formed of silver copper solder or gold tin solder. The galvanic application of a precious metal (15) on the tube in a region of the window is performed. The window is fixed in the aperture of the tube by the galvanic application of the precious metal. An independent claim is included for the endoscope.
