The tape (1) has a band shaped flexible substrate and a semiconductor source of light (2). The semiconductor source of light is arranged at flat sides of the band shaped flexible substrate. A flat strip cable is provided with multiple wires. The wires are stripped at the flat side of the band shaped flexible substrate. The semiconductor source of light is electrically contacted with stripped contact regions through a wire. A shining tape main portion is covered with a transparent covering made of casting material i.e. silicon. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a shining tape.
