The device has two rollers (1, 2) for scrolling a musical score sheet (5) that is fixed end to end between the rollers. One of the two rollers is driven by a motor (6) that is started when a musician actuates a pedal (8). A color sensor (14) is used to stop the rotation of the motor when a red colored surface (15) placed in a particular location of the sheet is positioned in front of the musician, where the motor is acoustically isolated from interfering with the musician. The pedal is covered with a coating of self-adhesive foam. The device includes electronic components connected by Lego wire (RTM: power function extension wire) to an NXT intelligent brick (RTM: studless next-generation programmable brick).
