The door frame (14) has a core (21) formed at a sheet side and provided with an edge (25) near to an articulation plane (A). The core has another edge (26) remote from the plane. A protection box (28) has a protruding side (32) parallel to the core and projected toward an interior passage opening with respect to rest of the frame. The protruding side is prolonged by adjacent sides (34, 36) recessed with respect to the protruding side. The box closes a protected space (38) formed by an inner periphery of the door frame and an outer periphery (40) of an opening frame (12) in closed position. An independent claim is also included for a door.
