The tap has a central body (12), an upstream nipple (11), and a downstream nipple (13) that is placed in the central body. An upstream seat and a downstream seat are provided with a set of specific dimensions. A valve (15) is arranged between the upstream nipple and the downstream nipple. The valve is provided in a specific position in which water flow is limited between the upstream nipple and the downstream nipple. A main communication chamber (16) is not provided in direct continuity with the upstream and downstream nipples. An independent claim is also included for a water metering valve assembly.
