PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power automatic control method and a power automatic control system performing demand control achieving both avoidance of exceeding the contract power and maintenance of environment.SOLUTION: An upper limit threshold of power consumption at each moment in time represented by a target upper limit setting line reaching a target upper limit power consumption in time proportion, and a lower limit threshold of power consumption at each moment in time represented by a target lower limit setting line reaching a target lower limit power consumption in time proportion, are provided. When power consumption goes above the upper limit threshold, a power load is disconnected or power output is limited, and when power consumption goes below the lower limit threshold, the power load is reinput and output limit is released. A plurality of levels are also provided previously depending on the degree of energy saving and the degree of emergency, the levels are switched and sudden change of the environment is suppressed. Furthermore, continuous control is possible even after elapse of the demand time, by maintaining the control level immediately before.
