PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of evaluating a degree of violence of video contents by using video analysis processing.;SOLUTION: When evaluating a degree of violence of a moving image in a video content, the video content violence degree evaluation device extracts, from a moving image comprising a plurality of continuous image frames each consisting of a plurality of pixels, in a three-dimensional space formed by adding a time axis to two-dimensional coordinates constituting the image frames, a plurality of minor time-spaces MTS, or local spaces that are located respectively along a plurality of trajectories passing through, via the plurality of image frames, a subregion in which luminance gradients and colors of the pixel groups in the subregion including a plurality of pints in the image frame match among the adjacent image frames. The violence degree evaluation device calculates feature amounts for each of the plurality of minor time-spaces from the pixels in the plurality of minor time-spaces MTS, calculates an existence probability of violence factors defining the degree of violence on the basis of the feature amount calculated for each of the plurality of minor time-spaces MTS, and calculates the degree of violence of the entire video contents by using the existence probability of the violence factor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
