PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron scintillator enabling a neutron imaging measurement at a high count rate in a high gamma ray background, and a method for manufacturing the same.;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a translucent ZnS/¹⁰B converter neutron scintillator comprises: mixing a ¹⁰B concentrated boric acid (H₃¹⁰BO₃) having a ¹⁰B isotope concentration of 90% or more with a hardener using modified alicyclic polyamine, modified aliphatic polyamine or aliphatic diamine as a main material to prepare a ¹⁰B-amine mixture; mixing the ¹⁰B-amine mixture with water, ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, a mixture of water and ethyl alcohol or a mixture of water and methyl alcohol to prepare a ¹⁰B containing transparent adhesive material; mixing a ZnS based phosphor with the ¹⁰B containing transparent adhesive substance to prepare a ZnS based phosphor-¹⁰B containing transparent adhesive material; and applying the ZnS based phosphor-¹⁰B containing transparent adhesive material on a substrate to dry and solidify the coating.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
