PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing gas hydrate, which eliminates the need for liquid confinement, reduces energy for applying pressure in a depressurizing apparatus, and raises the pressurization rate for applying the pressure therein; and to provide a method for producing the gas hydrate.;SOLUTION: In the apparatus 1 for producing the gas hydrate, the depressurizing apparatus 2 has: a depressurizing tank 3 that receives the gas hydrate from a high-pressure side; a reservoir tank 4 to which the depressurizing tank 3 and a plurality of lines are connected; and a compressor 5, wherein the depressurizing apparatus further has: a pressure-equalizing line 7 through which the depressurizing tank 3 and reservoir tank 4 are connected; a depressurizing line 8 by which a gas in the depressurizing tank 3 is fed to the reservoir tank 4 through the compressor 5; and a pressurizing line 9 by which the gas in the reservoir tank 4 is fed to the depressurizing tank 3 through the compressor 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
