PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow desired and flexible modification to outlines of two adjacent regions having parts of their outlines in common with less operation.SOLUTION: When an input by an operator for setting a modification outline inside one region is received, an outline of the one region is modified so that the modification outline becomes a part of the outline after modification. In this modification, when a start point of the modification outline is on an outline specific to each region and an end point is on an outline common to two regions, an outline of the other region is held. On the other hand, when the start point is on the common outline and the end point is on the specific outline, the outline of the other region is also modified so that the modification outline becomes the common outline in the outlines of the two regions after modification.
