PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a hydrogenolysis product of glycerin which enables to obtain 1,3-propanediol by reaction of glycerin with hydrogen in a high selectivity, further in which the production process is simple and convenient, and which is advantageous to cost.;SOLUTION: The method of producing a glycerin hydrogenolysis product includes at least a reaction process of continuously supplying a raw material liquid containing glycerin to a reactor, reacting the glycerin with the hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst in the reactor, and continuously discharging a reaction mixture containing the hydrogenolysis product of glycerin from the reactor, wherein the catalyst is a catalyst containing iridium and at least one metal supported on a carrier selected from the group consisting of nickel, rhenium, rhodium, palladium, platinum, and osmium, and the reactor is a trickle-bed reactor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
