PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint metal for a wooden building and a connection structure of a column and a beam in a wooden building, capable of preventing a pair of side plates from opening, and having strong resistance force against an earthquake or the like.;SOLUTION: Surfaces 20 to be pressure-welded of a pair of separation plates 19 are composed of inclined surfaces lowered as approaching the inner side, and each of angles θ formed by the pair of surfaces 20 to be pressure-welded and a pair of surfaces 24 to be joined which are both side faces of a support plate 15 is 70°. A pressure-welding surfaces 38 of a pair of insertion parts 37 are composed of inclined surfaces raised as approaching the inner side, and each of angles α formed by the pair of pressure-welding surfaces 38 and a pair of joint surfaces 36 is 70°. The insertion parts 37 are closely fitted to a connection groove 21, the pressure-welding surfaces 38 of the insertion parts 37 are abutted to the surfaces 20 to be pressure-welded of the connection groove 21, and the joint surfaces 36 of the insertion parts 37 are abutted to the surfaces 24 to be joined of the connection groove 21.
