PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single suction volute pump with simple constitution, which can be reduced in a requested NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) to enhance its suction performance.;SOLUTION: An impeller 10 of a single suction volute pump 1 has blades 11, 12 on the front and rear surfaces of the main plate 13. The outer diameter of a second blade 12 on the discharge opening side is larger than that of the first blade 11 so that the performance on the second blade 12 side exceeds in the mutual pumping capacity over the performance of the first blade 11 side on the suction opening side. Furthermore, a single or a plurality of through-holes 30 serving as a passage from the suction opening 4 side of the main plate 13 to the discharge opening 5 side are formed on the base end of the impeller 10 to be smaller in the sum total of the opening areas than the opening area of the main passage 20.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
