Disclosed is a process for producing a flexographic printing plate precursor for laser engraving, comprising, in order, steps of: forming a curable resin composition layer, which comprises (Component A) an ethylenically unsaturated compound, (Component B) a polymerization initiator, and (Component C) a binder, on a temporary support; forming a resin layer, which has an oxygen transmission coefficient of equal to or lower than 15 cm3·cm/m2·day·atm and a Shore A hardness of 20° to 70°, on the curable resin composition layer; and curing the curable resin composition layer.
