This method relies on the recirculation of an iron-free solution or a solution with a low iron content, so that the resulting final acidity conditions are ideal for efficient precipitation of iron as jarosite. In an embodiment of the present invention, the zinc concentrate is subjected to the following steps, in which: a) firing at least a portion of the zinc concentrate; b) leaching is carried out with a neutral solvent, in which the zinc oxide is dissolved; c) acid leaching is carried out, in which zinc ferrites are leached; d) reducing the Fe contained in the solution to Fe by adding zinc concentrate and diluting it with the zinc sulfate solution obtained in step f) to reduce the Fe concentration; e) carry out the neutralization of acidity in the solution using a cinder; f) oxidation of iron and precipitation of jarosite are carried out without contaminating particulate matter by introducing oxygen or oxygen-enriched air and adding alkali or Na or NH salt.
