A METHOD TO EXPLOIT BIOMASS OF ADULT ARTEMIA SPP ORIGINATED FROM NATURAL OR CULTIVATED POPULATIONS, AS FEED OF OTHER MARINE ORGANISMS, AS BAIT, AS TASTE ENHANSER IN MIXTURES OF FEEDS, AFTER PROPER TREATMENT THROUGH THE FREEZE DRYNIG METHOD

摘要

The invention refers to the production of biomass of Artemia spp. using a method absolutely compatible with the environment. The freeze drying process applied for the adult (not exclusively) populations of Artemia spp assures that the quality of the product is kept constant; i.e. the nutritional value does not change. The dehydrated product appears as an almost homogenous white-grey material in the shape of fine grains. These grains can be grinded to the proper size, depending on the final application. The product can be mixed with other materials to obtain the desired taste and smell. Finally, the product will be sold under different packings. Applications: 1. Use of the produced biomass as feed of the fingerlings of aquatic crustaceans or other organisms, 2. Use as a bait, 3. Use as additive in baits or fish meals, 4. Use as additive in cosmetology, 5. Use as η additive in human feed.
