Method of industrial production of purified and concentrated nitrate (V) nickel(II) solution from waste nickel solutions containing sulphates and/or chlorides by solvent extraction, including cationic ion exchange extraction,is characterised by the waste water solution containing nickel from 1 to 10% weights,favourably combining with activated charcoal and then filtered, is extracted with a liquid cationite solution in heavy catalytic converted gasoline, with the ratio of the nickel solution to the cationite solution fluctuating within 0,25 to 2,5, the pH of the emulsion being maintained in the range of 3,5 to 4,5, and the temperature is from 30-to 50-degrees, then the organic and aqueous phases are separated,and from the aqueous phase obtained, nickel is extracted into a solution of higher aliphatic acids, selected from a group comprising: 2-ethylhexyphosphoric acid, 2(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)phosphonic acid and mono-2-ethylhexyl ester of 2-ethylhexyphosphoric acid, dissolved in heavy odaromatized gasoline, the organic phase is then washed with deionised water to dissolve alkali anions and ions in the aqueous phase and then extracted from the organic phase with a nitric acid solution of 20 to 35%,producing a solution of nickel nitrate with a concentration of approximately 14% and salt impurities of other metals below 0,01%.
