The invention relates to a dental care product, in particular a toothpaste, comprising diamond particles. The diamond particles have sizes in a first size range from 0.3 m to 2.5 m, preferably from 0.5 m to 2.0 m, most preferably from 0.75 m to 1.5 m. The amount of diamond particles having sizes within the first size range is at most 2% by weight, more preferably at most 1% by weight, most preferably at most 0.5% by weight of the product. Moreover, the invention relates to a kit of parts containing a toothbrush (1) and a product as above, wherein the product is a toothpaste. The bristles (2) of the toothbrush (1) may contain abrasive particles (3), such as diamond particles. The bristles (2) may also be capable of at least temporarily retaining diamond particles.
