A method for diagnosing animal endogenous intoxication with oligoethers in experiment includes poisoning of experimental animals with lethal and sub-lethal doses, measurement of the intensity of the enhanced HObio-chemiluminescence (BCL) of blood serum at regular intervals during the time interval, construction by the experimental data of dynamical curves of BCL with comparison of the BCL intensity values with values of intensity for a control group of animals. A study is carried out for the functional state of mitochondria of hepatocytes in the development of structural and metabolic damage to the liver caused by the administration of toxic doses of oligoethers 1/10 LD50. The rate of oxygen consumption is determined in acceptor-less environment (V4). The rate of oxygen consumption in the presence of an acceptor (V3). The rate of oxygen consumption, after excretion, with added ADP (V4). Phosphorylation coefficient is calculated - the ratio of ADP / O, Lardy respiratory coefficient (RC), namely the ratio of oxygen uptake rate in V3 state to oxygen uptake rate in V4 state (prior to introduction into the cell of ADP); ATP - hydrolase reaction activity as the ratio V4 / V4, which characterizes the rate of regeneration of ADP after phosphorylation. As oxidation substrate succinate is used, fall of values of breathing rate and phosphorylation ratio provide a basis to make conclusion on separation of respiration and oxidative phosphorylation, on a background of suppression of ATP production, which indicates endogenous intoxication.
