Disclosed herein are shielding apparatus and method for preventing inflow of supper contaminated groundwater and for blocking a section which can be used as shielding apparatus capable of shielding like a compression tube even though an expansion tube is damaged using merits of the expansion tube and the compression tube and securing a shielding function by self-operation even though a lower end of a casing does not touch the floor of an excavated hole so as to prevent inflow of upper contaminated groundwater and which can block a section even in the middle position of the excavated hole. The shielding apparatus for preventing inflow of upper contaminated groundwater and for blocking the section includes: a compression tube which is mounted on the circumference of a casing and is compressed to get in contact with a hollow wall of an excavated hole by an external force; a spring which makes the compression tube get in contact with the hollow wall of the excavated hole to seal upper and lower parts based on the compression tube; and release means) which fixes the spring in the elasticity state opposed to the elasticity to make the compression tube get in contact with the hollow wall of the excavated hole and release the fixation of the spring to generate elasticity to make the compression tube get in contact with the hollow wall of the excavated hole, at least one among the release means being mounted on the casing.
