The invention relates to a holding device (1) of a kindergarten experimentation system (2) for scientific experiments, comprising: a first holding element (3) having a first (4a) and a second end region (4b), on which a first and a second connecting section (11, 16) are respectively provided, a terminating element (7) having at least one terminating connecting section (29), which is provided in order to terminate the holding element (3) in the first end region (4a) of the latter, wherein the first holding element (3) and the terminating element (7) can be connected detachably to each other by means of the first connecting section (16) and the terminating connecting section (29), further comprising at least one holder (5), which can be placed detachably on the first holding element (3) and/or the terminating element (7), can be fixed detachably between the first holding element (3) and the terminating element (7) and is designed to hold an experimentation apparatus (30, 32). The invention further relates to the use of a holding device (1) for a kindergarten experimentation system (2). Finally, the invention relates to a kindergarten experimentation system (2) comprising: an experimentation trough (35) having at least one recess (41) formed therein to receive a first or at least a second holding section (3, 3') of a holding device (1).
