The utility model relates to the field of agriculture, specifically to land cultivation in backyards and in flower and vegetable gardens, and particularly to hand-held tools for making pits, holes and openings in the ground for planting bushes and trees and for other similar tasks. The proposed utility model is aimed at decreasing the physical exertion and fatigue of a person making pits, holes or openings in the ground. The technical result is achieved in that a hand-held gardening hole-digger, containing a working body which consists of curved, pointed prongs and which is rigidly affixed to the end of a vertical stand having a handle, is provided with at least two blade elements which are positioned on opposing prongs in the lower half of the inner space of the working body, wherein the blade elements are connected to one another in the horizontal plane by means of the upper portions thereof with the ability to form a flat area under the soil, and the lower portions of said blade elements are connected to the prongs along the bend line of the prongs, and the cutting edge of each blade element is positioned so as to be able to partially cut the walls of the openings in the ground beyond the working area of the prongs.
