The invention proposes a transmission line for transmitting a time-varying electric current between a piece of surface equipment (29) and at least one piece of downhole equipment (17), said transmission line being provided inside a pipeline comprising an electrically conductive casing tube (11) and an electrically conductive production tube (12) housed inside the casing tube, a portion of said transmission line comprising: a portion of the casing tube or of the production tube; and two elements made from magnetic material (70, 71), each surrounding one of the ends of said portion of the casing tube or of the production tube. Each element made from magnetic material is surrounded by an electrically conductive protective housing (72, 73), providing electrical continuity between two points or elements of said transmission line, located to either side of the element made from magnetic material surrounded by said protective housing.
