Provided is a term unification system which is able to unify terms with respect to each company and with respect to each attribute of a document and is less susceptible to the correspondence relationship between a conversion object term and a uniform term.A term unification system (100) is provided with a reference DB (116) which stores, with respect to each company, a conversion rule table (400) in which one or more conversion rules each including a conversion object term to be converted, a uniform term to be obtained by the conversion, the category, type, and classification of a document, and a conversion priority are registered. The term unification system receives inputs of the company ID of a company which handles a document, the document, a category, a type, and a classification, retrieves conversion rules corresponding to the inputted category, type, and classification from the conversion rule table (400) corresponding to the inputted company ID, and on the basis of the retrieved conversion rules, converts the conversion object terms in the document into uniform terms in the order of descending priorities.
