The present invention relates to a dendrimer type hyperbranched polymer having a repeat unit selectively bound to certain metals such as cobalt or rubidium. More specifically, a dendrimer type hyperbranched polymer has structures similar to dendrimer while manufactured in mass productions due to a simple manufacturing process. In addition, using the hyperbranched polymer is allowed to selectively separate certain metals such as cobalt or rubidium in a high separation yield such that the hyperbranched polymer can be used to capture a rare metal with high purity from natural resources like seawater and wastewater.
