Disclosed is a single photon device, an apparatus for emitting and transferring single photons, and a method of manufacturing and operating the same. A single photon device includes a carrier transfer layer formed on a substrate and at least one quantum dot existing on the carrier transfer layer. The carrier transfer layer may be a hole transfer layer. The carrier transfer layer may have a quantum dot layer which includes at least one quantum dot on the carrier transfer layer. An apparatus for emitting and transferring single photons includes a single photon device, a unit which injects a single charge into the single photon device, a light condensing part which condenses light emitted from the single photon device, and a light transfer unit which transmits light condensed by the light condensing part to the outside of the light condensing part.
